CAREER DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

General Statement Describing Expectations of the Position
The function of the Career Development Center is to facilitate the job search process for our students and recent graduates/alumni. The Career Development Specialist provides support, guidance, information and skills training, and acts a liaison between job-seeking students and employers who wish to hire.

The candidate must possess
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Organization skills.
Skill in event planning and promotion.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, set and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail.
Ability to note and track employment trends.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Counsel students regarding job search strategy and cover letter/resume preparation.
Act as liaison between students and employers who wish to hire.
Organize career planning workshops.
Assist with the development of creative initiatives for marketing and promoting the School to employers and students.
Identify additional employers for outreach in designated strategic geographic areas.
Assist with planning and implementing strategies that encourage employers to hire our school students.
Conduct employer visits locally, regionally
Publish an in-house Career Services newsletter.
Maintain employment statistics on graduating class.
Additional functions include but are not limited to:
-writing and updating the Career Services Handbook
-managing reciprocity requests
-distributing a job bulletin
-maintaining and updating the Career Services Center

Education Requirement:
AA/AS required, BA/BS preferred

Clinical Coordinator, Limited Permit X-Ray Technician Program (XT):
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the field and State of California X-Ray Certification. Responsibilities include: seeking and securing externship sites, placing students in sites, supervising externship students, and monthly visits to externship sites. Must be an independent team player and possess ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Position is full-time, with excellent compensation and benefits.

Admissions Officer
The admissions officer is primarily responsible for effectively providing accurate information to inquiring applicants and enrolling students into the College. Position includes handling leads and inquiries, interviewing prospective students, assisting with course selection, enrolling qualified individuals, and processing enrollment paperwork. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with applicants throughout their stay at the College and following up on student leads on a regular basis. Accurately inputs and maintains enrollment data in the RGM electronic database.
